Quality Policy
Quality standards, commitments, and pillars of NidoMed — Nido Family Center in Kraków
I. Who we are
NidoMed — Nido Family Center is a medical facility in Kraków combining diagnostics, therapy, and rehabilitation for children and adults. Under one roof, osteopaths, physiotherapists, neurological speech therapists, feeding therapists, sensory integration therapists, an orthopaedic specialist, ADOS-2 diagnosticians, and a physician performing frenotomy work together.
II. Purpose of this quality policy
This policy sets out the standards to which NidoMed commits itself towards patients, their families, and collaborating specialists. It serves as a reference point for the team and a basis for continuous service improvement.
III. Quality pillars
3.1. Team competence
- Every specialist at NidoMed holds documented qualifications: diplomas, certificates, and a PWZ licence number (where required by law).
- Before joining the team, we verify clinical experience, not just formal education.
- We require our specialists to continuously develop their qualifications — training, supervision, professional conferences.
3.2. Interdisciplinary collaboration
- Specialists consult cases with each other within the facility — the patient does not need to coordinate care independently.
- Diagnostics and therapy can take place in one location: the orthopaedic specialist orders an ultrasound in the office, the feeding therapist refers for frenotomy, after ADOS-2 the parent begins sensory integration therapy — without seeking specialists elsewhere.
- If a patient's problem exceeds our competence, we refer them to an appropriate specialist outside NidoMed.
- We run our proprietary NIDO EAT programme — an interdisciplinary approach to children with feeding difficulties, combining neurological speech therapy, feeding therapy, sensory integration, and osteopathy.
3.3. Patient safety
- Services are provided in rooms adapted to the specific type of therapy.
- For appointments requiring close contact with the child (feeding therapy, SI, frenotomy, paediatric physiotherapy), we ask parents to report signs of infection. In the event of illness, we reschedule the visit — the health of patients and staff is a priority.
- We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. Details are provided in a separate document: Privacy Policy.
3.4. Work organisation and respect for time
- Appointments are scheduled at specific times with a defined duration.
- Before the visit, the patient receives an SMS reminder, and detailed rules for confirming and cancelling appointments are set out in a separate document: Appointment Rules.
3.5. Evidence-based medical content
- Service descriptions on our website are based on current scientific publications (PubMed, Cochrane) with identification numbers enabling independent verification.
- Medical content is reviewed by specialists from our team — with their name and review date provided.
- For contraindications and warning signs, we clearly indicate when a doctor's help or emergency department is needed.
IV. Commitments
NidoMed commits to:
- Maintaining team qualifications — regular verification of licences, documenting training and certificates.
- Interdisciplinary consultations — discussing complex cases among specialists, instead of isolated treatment.
- Honest communication — we do not promise results we cannot guarantee. We do not use methods without evidence. We do not diagnose in order to sell therapy.
- Safety care — maintaining appropriate conditions in treatment rooms, hygiene procedures, personal data protection.
- Respect for the patient's time — punctuality, clear appointment rules, efficient registration.
- Medical content updates — review of service descriptions on the website at least once a year, with the date of last review provided.
V. Continuous improvement
Quality is not a state — it is a process. NidoMed improves its services through:
- Patient feedback — we collect feedback and respond to reported issues.
- Procedure reviews — at least once a year we review work organisation, room standards, and registration processes.
- Team development — we monitor the currency of qualifications and support participation in training.
- Content updates — service descriptions and educational materials are reviewed and updated based on new scientific publications.
