About the specialist
Master of Physiotherapy — graduate of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Passionate about working with the tiniest patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care and Pathology Unit.
She currently works at the Neonatal Department of Ujastek Hospital in Kraków — a level III referral unit. From 2023 to 2024, she collaborated with FizjoMed Private Osteopathy and Physiotherapy Centre in Kraków, supporting the development of children up to 2 years of age.
She began her journey in neonatal intensive care at the University Hospital in Kraków. There, she developed a deep commitment to this highly specialized area of physiotherapy.
In her daily work, she values most the opportunity to observe each child’s progress day by day from the moment of birth. Noticing changes in their activity, behaviour, and appearance — but above all, assisting in the development of extremely premature infants.
At NIDO, she provides individual therapy sessions for newborns and infants up to 2 years of age, with particular focus on premature infants.
She works with children who are born prematurely, have muscle tone distribution disorders (increased or decreased muscle tone), present with disharmonious psychomotor development, have been diagnosed with genetic syndromes, congenital defects or conditions, or cerebral palsy.
She helps parents cope with developmental challenges, advises on selecting appropriate activities and play, teaches how to observe children’s development, and how to incorporate developmental support techniques into daily childcare routines.
In addition to her clinical work, she also conducts professional training courses. For several years, she has been co-creating, together with neurological speech therapist Marta Karwot-Pięta, a course for specialists working with premature infants: ‘Feeding the Premature Infant in the Neonatal Unit’, sharing her knowledge and experience from the NICU.
In 2023, they developed a follow-up course held directly in their clinical environment — the Neonatal Department at Ujastek.
After work, true to her highland roots, she can be found on mountain trails, most often in the Beskid Mountains, where she retreats to unwind in nature. She enjoys trying new activities and has a love for flowers.
